dude.. as you may see... world is evolving. that means that people can't remain in the same position playing Tchaikovsky style. Yanni is as great as Tchaikovsky at his time, just that Yanni know that he must evolve by adapting his music to our times. now pls... if you feel to comment, do it with thinking first at what you want to talk about.

please pointmanzero we r not here to show off u dont need to make fun of people who dont like classic cuz they actually dont care about u or abt those composers ...they just DONT LIKE THEM...and still u r not the only one who listens to classics in this world ... so get over urself ur not better than any of em ..music is taste and nobody can judge taste there is no good and bad taste ...thats why its called TASTE..music whatever it is ,is just to enjoy not to show off .....

its not about who is great and who is not .this music..yannis music..is the kind all people can relate to, everybody can feel its depth thats why its great ...no matter if u like Beethoven or even michael jackson you just gotta love this music i agree that other composers like Mozart Bach and Chopan are maybe in another level but that doesnt mean all people should love them . music is just taste

One can never compare yanni with the great classical composers. Tchaikovsky,Beethoven, Mozart, Chopan, Bach,etc their music is sempiternal. Yanni is nontheless,,is a good contemporary composer and his music is very enjoyable ( not as superb as the great masters of course)

Yanni reminds me of such movie composers. In some movies there are great compositions you know. I also like Hans Zimmerman in Gladiator. And finally I think Yanni borrows some pieces here and there lol ;) Still if you like please search for Bear McCreary or LOTR soundtracks on youtube I'm sure they are here. And oh not to forget the Requiem for a dream soundtrack. Also very brilliant (even though electronics are used).

I don't think you can compare Yanni to Tchaikovsky. First of al Yanni is great I enjoy his music, but the unts unts techno electronic sounds must go. If you want great sounds do everything acoustic. I hate electric sounds in general. Too bad Yannis is a keyboard expert. Secondly there are many better or equal composers. Just listen to some great movie soundtracks like the LOTR sound tracks. Brilliant. Or listen to what bear McCreary is doing with the new Battlestar Galactica just superb.

i agree with you, but turns out that we didn't have the pleasure to see Tchaikovsky play on a concert , i guess Yanni and the misicians are the closest persons to the talent Tchaikovsky had.Tchaikovsky is dead, so now who's the best musician in the world???I LOVE THIS MUSIC , AND ALL THE CLASSICAL MUSIC LIKE BEETHOVEN, TCHAIKOVSKY, CHOPIN... AND MOREi hope don't bother my comment :)

I agree that yanni is a good composer, however, it is the people on here who say he is the "best" or "god on earth" or that his music "puts you in a another world" that I say -sigh...You people don't have a clue what true music is do you?just how much Tchaikovsky have you guys listened to? I would be willing to bet that all of you are now going "Tchaikovsky , that sounds familiar but I can't place the name.How much, gershwin, or do you even know who he is.They were both composers.

this music is very touchy i love it....very powerful. it takes me in to another world where i can touch the feel of love.. love it..and thx..
