This song makes me truely sad. We have a farm thats been in our family for about 50 years and we are about to lose it and even if we dont the gas companies have already come in and ruined the land. We use it for farmin, huntin, and raisin animals and itll kill me to see it go.

I ABSOLUTELY love bein out in the country working on the farm. for one you ain't gotta put up with other peoples bullshit. Its just you and the reletively smog-free air. Two after a long day of work, you can just go sit on your front porch and drink some beer. then when you look up you can actually see the stars.

There's always a confrontation when it comes to land, a lot of stress when it comes to what has to get done, and manual labor isn't easier than professional work.. it's just physical, obviously, instead of mental work. And besides, Govt. loans are fine until they come after your land, which happens every day, most notoriously in the Great Depression. Overall there's so much more to worry about on a farm, the land becomes your life.

i agree w/ jdchickno1 farm work is tough stuff and its so much better than the city. i lived in the city for much of my life and now that i am out here in the country life is so much better
