True, he was often called a prodigy as a teenager, but I don't think he was that good, still, he was very good from what I've read. I think it was around the time he went to college that he started discovering and developing his talent more and more.

he has a few comic book covers...check out action comics #800 on google or yahoo and he puts himself in the artwork..he is on the bottom left of the cover. he has done some star trek comic book artwork.
