I think the collaboration is really great. They compliment one another's voices really well. Something new for them both.

its a great CD!! one of the best of the year in my opinion. i believe there are a few original songs but also some folk songs. but if you like alison you will love it.

I'm a singer so I'll field that question. His old vocal style was INCREDIBLY demanding, and possibly even destructive at times. Going on stage EVERY night with thousands of people expecting Robert to rip the show apart like he used to would become frustrating very quickly. He's staying in his comfort zone, which is what all singers must do, or they lose their voices.. sometimes permanently. Lets face it, back in the day, he could summon the vocal power of a hurricane.

I don't know what's wrong with Robert! He claims hes too old to tour with Zeppelin again but continues to do side projects like this! Is it me or does that seem strange?

alternative rock is rock like alternative country is country, i didn't realize i had to go so specific. my point is that alison krauss is a country singer of a subgenre known as bluegrass and an artist like say nirvana would be labeled alternative rock, a subgenre of rock. an alternative country artist would still be considered a country artist like neko case or gram parsons

alternative isnt necessarily rock!
