Why should WE be ashamed? We didn't take their land or kill their people. Sure our ancestors did back in the 18th century, but we couldn't have helped it. We can feel pity and sadness for the Native peoples, but it's what we do NOW that matters, not what was done 300 years ago by our ancestors.
