well, she gave her reason why she is now proud of America. I'm sure she didn't mean it literally (that is, adult life from 18 years of age till now). She was trying to make a point and she kind of explained what she meant.But I think those who are "always" proud of their country can cause much worse trouble. That leads to isolationism, something current govt. accuses other countries of. I don't know you, so im not accusing you. As far as her running for prez in future, lol, who knows...

ppl give heat to Michelle Obama cuz she said she is finally proud to be American. Why wasn't she proud before? Well, maybe cuz she believed that America was on the wrong track. Is it "wrong" to believe your country is on the wrong track?If it were "wrong", then the French Revolution and their idea of civil liberty was wrong. Then the idea of a Constitution, such as Magna Carta, was "wrong". when we start believing our country is always right, we have lost. we must always review ourselves.

I also agree, Why is it ok to make fun of White people?!? Im "Hispnic" although I ONLY consider myself American. If a white person says something insignificant about a Black, they wanna execute him. A black man says the MOST racist comments about a white, its okay and funny!!! WHY?!? Because if we say thats racist, then its being racist to them?!?Stupidity!!!Im doing MY part and Voting McCain/Palin!!!

How can you vote for someone who wont even wear his countrys flag on his suit?!? His wife recently said she is FINALLY Proud to be an American!!! WTF?!? What about before??? Yet we want to elect HIM as our President?!? While he is at it, he can make more friends with Terrorists!!!
