Yeah, that's what I read in Lennon Revealed. Its sad, but John was an angry person. He had many devastating things happen to him as a child. His father abandoned him when he was young, his mother died.

I think Green Day is a wonderfully talented performing band and do Beatles songs well also, but The Beatles not only performed well, but were great, great songwriters of hundreds of hits that will live on and had two great singers in John and Paul. George sung a few good songs as well.
