This claim of child sacrifice has to be the most outlandish claim yet. In regard to rituals, I prefer the kind that Benjamin Franklin attended in the UK: watch Eyes Wide Shut for a hint.

There are only two preachers I have enjoyed listening to over the years: Father Guido Sarducci and Sam Kinison. If I could have casted a vote for Pope, it would have gone to Sarducci.

If society can put religion to the side it may very well progress. The only thing the church brought was the dark ages and a censurship of all scientific thought. The chuch also believes that knowledge is some sort of sin that will destroy it...rather hiliarious as it is knowledge that will advance the human race.

I also had a college friend who took a two year sabatical to go teach the word of jc in Korea...he came back a changed man. He was the most cynical hateful person I had ever encountered all because the word of jc didn't fit the Korean beleif system. The only thing religion did for him was turn him into an instrument of hatred toward others who do not think nor look like him. Honestly I hope is doing better or at least sought professional counseling.

ole jc was taught about the "messiah" that he eventually thought he was that person. That is Jerusalem syndrome. What history has demonstrated is that every few hundred years or so a new religion pops up and it's quite rediculous as the person who gets the last word thinks they are the more superior dieity. Even the mythical person called satan has no one single identity. Over the centuries the church manipulated creatures of myth to fit their agenda and this applies to all religions. |
